I have a solution for you. The Bauer Products Sun Out RV Roof Vent Shade - Retractable # BA89VR is not an insulator it is for sun blocking only.
We do have the Camco Insulator w/ Sunshield Reflective Surface for RV Roof Vents - Removable Fleece Cover # CAM45192. It will offer shade and insulation keeping hot air and sunlight out and keeping your cool air in, or keep cold air out and warm in. Depending on the season and your preference.
We also have the Adco Deluxe RV Vent Insulator - Vinyl - White Over Silver - 18" x 18" # 290-7172. It is not as good as an insulator as the Camco but it will fit over more vent styles.
