Measurements for Towing Height of Reese Goosebox # RP94720 Formerly RP94623

Question:

Currently when I tow my fifth wheel camper with my Silverado I am able to leave my tailgate up. Will I still have the same height above my tailgate and be able to leave the tailgate up when using this product?

The Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1621 and 0719 - 20,000 lbs # RP94720 will give you the same height as most 5th wheel hitch and pin box combinations. This pin box will allow you to tow with your tailgate up on your Silverado. According to the attached installation details the Goose Box should be adjusting the wing set so there is a minimum of 7 inches of clearance between the top of your bed rails and the underside of the front of the trailer to account for the pitch and yaw of the trailer.

The measurements are from the bottom of the coupler portion to the bottom of the pin box body at the back where it attaches to the trailer's wings measures approximately 15-1/2 inches. The distance from the center of the coupler portion back to the center of the rear row of bolt holes is 25-5/8 inches. The overall height from the bottom of the coupler to the top of the back of the Goose Box is approximately 22 inches. I've attached a photo to assist.
