Is 9 inches of Ground Clearance Enough for Weight Distribution Shank

Question:

I Purchased Reese 66083 weight dist w/ straight line sway. I now purchased Curt 17120 shank to get the required . Only question, will it be OK to only have 9inch of clearance from bottom of the shank to the ground? Thanks

9 inches of ground clearance will be adequate for most situations. If you need the drop that the part # 17120 provides to tow your trailer level that would be the priority over ground clearance. This shank does not drop down too far so there wouldn't be a different option we could provide that is going to give you any additional clearance.
