Testing Shock On Titan Model 10 Actuator To Determine If Replacement Is Needed
Updated 08/01/2017 | Published 07/29/2017 >
Question:
How do I determine if the shock is bad? Should it extend by itself or is pressure needed to be applied in both directions?

Expert Reply:
To test your shock, you can extend and retract it manually but it will take some force as there should be resistance. It should measure 6 inches from center to center when retracted and 8-1/16 inches when extended. If it is not working properly either because there isn't resistance or it is seized up, then I recommend replacing it with the Replacement Shock for Titan Model 6 and 10 Brake Actuators # T1242600.
