Can Sticker be Removed on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13182

Updated 10/02/2024 | Published 07/15/2017

Question:

I want to buy Curt 13182. I see use/load/cautioninch labels/stickers on the installed hitch on your pics. I dont want any stickers showing. Are they all removable? Not like permanent orange sun visor stuff. Thanks for an early reply.

Helpful Expert Reply:

The sticker on the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13182 is removable, but I strongly recommend against doing so. The sticker contains important information like the Tongue Weight (TW) and Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) ratings. Although I understand the desire to have a clean looking trailer hitch receiver, the sticker not only has the important information but it also serves as a reminder of the proper way to use the hitch receiver.

If you were to get pulled over and didn't have the sticker on the hitch to prove the weight capacities it could result in a fine.

Hi Jon G. Do you know if it's possible to get a replacement sticker for a class 4 hitch, the hitch is new but the sticker is damaged. Thankyou Bobby

@BobbyO That's something you'd have to reach out directly to the manufacturer for. I think they might, but you'd probably have to provide proof of purchase and such so they can verify it's the correct sticker and you wouldn't be accidentally mislabeling the hitch on your vehicle. If you have a Curt hitch on your vehicle then here is the site you'll need to visit - https://www.curtmfg.com/contact
