This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is built for real-world use where reliability matters. With a 2" x 2" receiver opening and Class III rating, it handles up to 6,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 600 lbs maximum tongue weight. When used with weight distribution, it supports up to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW. That’s enough strength for everyday towing, hauling small trailers, or adding gear carriers and bike racks without worry.
The fully welded hitch bolts right to the frame—no welding or complicated shop work. All the mounting hardware and installation instructions come in the box, so you can get the job done in your own driveway with common tools. The design lines up precisely with existing mounting points for a clean fit that feels factory-made.
Built from sturdy, square-tube steel and finished in a gloss black powder coat over a protective base layer, this hitch is made to stand up to road grime, weather, and years of towing. The powder coat finish provides superior rust resistance and keeps it looking solid mile after mile.

My etrailer hitch is doing very well. It seems you have a very good product.
I haven't even opened the box yet but I know it will be fine. This is not my first purchase from etrailer and I'm sure it won't be the last.

Thank you for the review! You may want to just keep an eye on your hitch and touch up paint as needed. This can help prevent rust from forming. I attached a link about more ways to prevent rust. Thanks!
