Question:
dexter e/h brake controller In the manual I can get power from the tow vehicle or on board batteries. Does having power to the controller all the time effect the controller? Im just doing the wiring in the trailer and the tow vehicle power also charges the batteries. System is looking great, have the dexter dx-2 on the way. thanks

You won't have any problem with power going to the brake controller all the time. This lets the brake controller keep all of its settings and not lose them every time the vehicle is turned off.
Brake controllers are designed to enter a sleep mode after a period of time when there is no activity. An idle controller draws very little current and will not drain the vehicle battery.
