Question:
I own a 2016 Toyota Tacoma, 5foot bed, with a trip fold hard cover. I am looking to carry/transport two 10foot kayaks. Do you have any suggestions besides putting the kayaks on the roof?

In order to haul two kayaks in your 2016 Toyota Tacoma without placing them on the roof of your vehicle, you will need to use a load extender such as the Malone Axis Truck Bed and Roof Load Extender part # MPG907 if the bed of your truck is empty. The extender can be positioned for both vertical and horizontal load extensions. In your case, you will want to place the kayaks flat in the bed.
This will not interfere with your tri-fold tonneau cover and will safely allow you to haul the two kayaks without placing them on the roof of your vehicle. In order to prevent jostling and movement of both the hitch extender and kayaks, you may want to consider the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock part # MPG2174 as this lock is designed specifically for this extension.
