Question:
2017 Honda Ridgeline front receiver hitch. Can you please confirm whether or not modifications of the air dam may be required to install? What, exactly does this entail? Thanks.

We currently have two different front mounted hitch options for your 2017 Honda Ridgeline. This being the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C31082 and the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65073.
According to the manufacturer, the Curt trailer hitch receiver "will" require you to trim the front fascia on the vehicle whereas Draw-Tite says you "may" have to. Regardless, the trimming on both applications will only be minor if even necessary.
The bottom most lip of the front fascia pointing toward the ground may need to be trimmed approximately 2-1/4". You can do this with a small rotary tool or heavy duty razor blade. This is very common for most front and rear hitch receivers and it seems to be even less on the Ridgeline.
