Question:

Before drilling....is this hitch easy to align? Will I be able to measure each side to a certain point on the car to make sure it is square? Is there any play forward or backward to consider which would impact how far out the receiver sits?

There is a bulkhead underneath the 2015 Nissan Altima that will serve as a guide to line the hitch, # 24796, up properly. Once the hitch is in place you will use it as a template to drill the holes needed for installation. I have included a link to the installation instructions and a video showing an example installation for you.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch. I have linked the Class I compatible 2-bike racks and cargo carriers for you.
