Question:

I am looking for a brake kit for my 2013 tandem axle boat trailer OEM is magnum trailers. Currently the trailer doesnt have any brakes but does appear to have the caliper mounting brackets on the axles. Each axle is a 3500 lb torsion axle made by TieDown Engineering and has Vortex hubs also made by Tie Down Engineering. I am planning on only doing one axle. I would like an actuator that has a lock out solenoid for backing up. I also have a swing tongue so I need to have a hose kit that accommodates that. I have 14 inch tires on the trailer and 5.5 bolt pattern. Can you provide me some options on what kits would work for me? Thanks

For your 2013 Magnum trailer, I recommend the Titan Disc Brake Kit and Swing-Away Actuator w/ Electric Lockout - Single, 3,500-lb Axle # T4843300. This kit will include everything you need to convert one axle to a braking axle. I recommend using the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors - Model 1980A-SS w/ Auto Check - Stainless Steel (Pair) # BB1980A-SS with this assembly, but everything else you need unless you need an adapter for your trailer tongue which is # T4842100.

If you have a 4 way trailer connection, you will need the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Trailer Wiring Adapter # 20036 to add the reverse function for the electric lockout.
