Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this 1/2" diameter shackle bolt for double-eye springs. Now this 1/2" diameter shackle bolt is used to mount a double-eye leaf spring to your front or rear hanger that's on your trailer suspension. It is designed to work with a 1/2" by 20 size lock nut, which we do sell separately on our website. And it's usually listed on this product page as a related product.
And it is part number ABS44FR.Now this is for quantity of one shackle bolt. Give you a few dimensions on this. The length of the bolt, which is always measured from underneath the hex head to the very end of the bolt, you'd be looking at 3". The diameter we mentioned is 1/2" diameter. The threads on the end here they are 20 threads per inch.
And the hex head size, it uses a 3/4" socket. I happened to pull one just to show you how it fits in there perfectly.And the last thing is the rating on this as a grade five rating bolt. And the way you can tell that is if you look at the head, on top of the head, you'll see three straight lines on it. That indicates that it has a grade five rating to it. But that should do it for the review on the 1/2" diameter shackle bolt for double-eye springs..

Just what I needed, now my shackle won't be riding on threads, they will be on the shaft of the bolt.
Worked like I expected them to. Quick shipment. If the bolts had been made in USA instead of China I would have given 5 stars.
For the money paid should have included locking nuts.
Delivered on time seems good quality installed but not put to use yet, time will tell, this item was replaced by a cheap china made product that did not hold to it's specs, hopefully these will.
The parts are great. I just didn't receive part of my order. I'm missing 2 u-bolts. I ordered 2 packs of 2 and only 1 showed up.

Not impressed with these at all, for the price they should include nuts and friction tabs like other shackle bolts. They also use a fine thread so you have to buy nuts from them also or you will not be able to source them locally.
