Question:
I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler TJ, I want to pull a trailer with a 7-contact blade round connector. What parts do I need?

A trailer that has a 7-way type wiring setup probably has electric drum brakes. To tow such a trailer with your Wrangler you will need a brake controller like the reliable Prodigy P2 # 90885 along with the 7-way wiring setup.
You'll first need to have a 4-pole harness on the Jeep; if you do not already have one you can use part # 118409 which offers simple plug-in installation at your taillights. Then you will convert that wiring to the 7-way type by using our kit # ETBC7. This kit includes the 7-way socket and all the components you need to install the brake controller. No other items are needed.
The linked video shows you the entire installation process for the # ETBC7 kit and the brake controller.
