Question:
Thank you. I need the pin distance on the other end of the extender. How far from the pin hole on the receiver end to the internal weld where my hitch cannot be inserted any further? I need 3.5inch from the center of the pin to the back of the receiver for my current hitch to fit properly. Thank you for your help

The Roadmaster Htich Extender # RM-071-1075 measures approximately 3 inches deep from the pin hole to the furthest point inside the receiver tube. It's also only designed to be used to flat tow a vehicle with a hitch style tow bar. It can't be used with a ball mount.
The Curt Hitch Extender # C45791 has the same measurement of 3 inches and can be used for towing a trailer; however, it has a much lower weight capacity at 3,500 pounds. Also, when using a hitch extender your hitch's tongue weight will be reduced by 50 percent.
Your best option that will work for you is to use a longer ball mount, like the Brophy # BH20. It's rated for 10,000 pounds towing and measures 13-1/4 inches from the hitch pin hole to the ball hole. If this isn't long enough for what you need I've linked our selection of long and extra long ball mounts for you to take a look at.
For a hitch ball to fit into the Brophy ball mount use # A-90 for a 2 inch ball or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch.
