Difference Between 23-106 and 23-105 Trailer Brake Assemblies

My trailer has 23-106 brakes on right side and 23-105 on the left side. Not sure what Im supposed to have on this trailer. They are Dexter P12 axles, Serial # SLR. Spindle diameter is 2-1/4. Maybe you can help me.

Trailer Brake Assemblies # 23-106 and # 23-105 are the same brake assembly for the right and left sides, respectively. That's the reason for the difference in part numbers.

They're 12 by 2 inch brakes for 6,000 pound axles.

If the assemblies #23-105-106-09 that you have are held on using 5 bolts instead of 4 the assembly part #23-180 will fit as a replacement since it uses a 5 bolt mounting bracket and is 12 inches in diameter.

For your Dexter 12x2" Brakes, you can use the Electric Trailer Brake Kit #AKEBRK-7-SA for the right side, and #AKEBRK-7L-SA for the left side, as a replacement.
