Can Ground Wire Be Attached To Optronics Trailer Light When Installing

Question:

I see on your item # MCL-67AB, an LED clearance light. It comes with one lead - the power - and it is grounded through the mounting. However, most LED lights usually come with a hot and ground lead. If I want all of my LEDs to have a dedicated ground, can I just solder a ground wire lead and use it?

If you wish to attach all of your lights to one dedicated ground wire that will work fine for you. Please be aware that modifying the mount in any manner will void the warranty for the light. The # MCL67AB light is designed to be grounded through the mounting hardware.

You will want to make sure you do not damage the light base when soldering a ground wire.
