I suggest using the Curt # C86HR for a trailer hitch receiver on your 2016 Ford F-150. This is a 2 inch, Class III hitch with a gross towing weight of 6,000 pounds and maximum tongue weight of 600 pounds. It includes all the necessary hardware to bolt it to your truck. I've linked an installation video for you.
If you prefer a hitch that has a higher weight rating, the Curt # C26HR is a Class IV, 2 inch hitch rated at 10,000 towing and 1,000 pounds tongue weight. This hitch is also a bolt on and includes all of the hardware.
The B&W Tow & Stow # BWTS10048B is a great ball mount that includes 3 different sized hitch balls and will provide either a 5 inch drop or 5-1/2 inch rise. The Tow & Stow will also flip under the hitch and out of the way when not in use. Use # BX8858 for a hitch lock to keep the ball mount secured to your truck.
For a wiring harness that will provide a 4-way trailer connector at the rear of your truck you can use # 18252. Then if you need to add a 7-way use # ETBC7 that also includes all the necessary wiring to equip your truck to use a brake controller. If your truck has the factory tow package, instead of the 4-way connector you can use # 74682 for a 4-way and 7-way.
