Trailer Left Turn Signal Pin has No Power on a 2003 Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra Diesel
Published 05/15/2018 >
Question:
Thank you Just fixed my 2006 GMC Sierra 1500 trailer lights because of this site Brought it to RADCO and after an hour they said it was in my truck, not light harness My left blinker and brake lights worked on the truck, but no left blinker. After more research, the left blinker and break light fuse for trailer is in a side panel, on the outer side inside cab between driver door and driver dash. Open door, look at side dashboard and you will see a access panel for more fuses Please post for others having the same problem. Thank you

It could just be a tow package fuse blown on your truck. There is one for trailer left turn signal and brake light in the fuse box in the cab between the dash and driver's side door. It is labeled LT TRLR ST/TRN.
You would not be able to tap into the trucks turn signal because your 2003 Chevy or GMC truck has separate turn signals and brake lights whereas the trailer connector and trailer use combined brake lights and turn signals on the same circuit.
