15 inch Wheel and Tire Recommendation for Rpod 179 Trailer
Updated 11/22/2016 | Published 11/21/2016 >
Question:
I have an Rpod model 179, that has 14inch tires. I plan to upgrade to 15. I have been told the new wheels need the appropriate offset. I believe I have the 5x4.5 pattern. I believe I only saw one 15inch with an offset. Are there different offsets, if so, how do I figure out what I need Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
In nearly all situations trailer rims have a zero offset to balance the load of the trailer equally on both sides of the wheel. I can't see your RPod requiring an offset that isn't zero.
I would recommend the part # LHAW121 for you though. This is a 15 inch wheel with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern like you need with a radial tire size of 205/75R15 on it. The speed rating of this tire is 75 mph which is better than most trailer tires which are only rated for 65.
