Replacement Wheel and Tire for a 2017 R-Pod 177

Updated 07/22/2024 | Published 06/29/2021

Question:

Question 1: I have a 2017 Rpod 177 with ST235/75R15 load range C tires. Westlake brand tire. I’d like to go with a load range D. ST235 tires are sort of hard to find, so I was thinking about ST205/75R15 load range D. Will these be ok for my Rpod, especially in terms of safety? Also I saw a previous post about a 2011 Rpod 177 but i was thinking there may be differences between my 2017 and the 2011, but perhaps not. Question 2: I also need a matching rim like the one in the photo. It’s for my 2017 Rpod 177. Does etrailer sell a compatible rim. Thank you for your assistance!

With the typical ST235/75R15 tire having a diameter of 28.8 inches (roughly), the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D # LHWL300 at a 27.1 inch diameter, will definitely fit your 2017 R-Pod 177. These will have a maximum capacity of 2,150 pounds at 65 psi and an L speed rating (75 miles per hour).

As to rim Aluminum Sendel Series T02 Machined Trailer Wheel - 15" x 6" Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 # AM22653 would be a great look. This is a 15 x 6 inch rim with a 5 on 4 1/2 bolt pattern.

Lazer, I'm looking for this rim as a replacement. Where can I find it for sale?

@Jesse So, I am 90% sure that is a Bearcat wheel made by Lionshead. That being said, we unfortunately do not carry this style of wheel in this specific size (15" x 6" with 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern). The closest we have is the Wildcat # LH59VR, though I must admit, is quite different. Your best bet would be to either check with Forest River as they manufacture R-Pod trailers or on one of the many R-Pod forums. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news : (
