Question:

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - BX1716 Your website says this doesnt fit a platinum model Escalade, but the manufacture doesnt mention anything about it not fitting a platinum. Do you have any more information about why it wont work on a platinum Escalade?

I verified with Blue Ox that the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1716 has been confirmed to fit the Platinum Edition 2016 Cadillac Escalade.

If you also need a tow bar the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420 will pair well with the base plates and it comes with safety cables.

To power the Escalade's lights you can use the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit # RM-155. This will allow the signal lights to work with your RV's but not require you to tap into the wiring of the Cadillac. Also, in order to flat to your truck the battery must be disconnected. To make this easier by just flipping a switch you can install the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect # RM-766. You'll also need a Stop Light Switch # RM-751463 to ensure that the supplemental braking system is working corrently.

For the supplemental braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is the easiest system we carry to setup and use. This will apply your Cadillac's brakes at the same time and with the same intensity as you're applying the RV's.
