4,800-lb Capacity. Ride-Rite air springs enhance your factory suspension for safety and stability when you are hauling heavy loads. They reduce strain on your rear axle, keep your vehicle level, and adjust to load size for a consistently smooth ride.

Specs:
Firestone Ride-Rite springs are designed to increase safety and reduce the strain on your vehicle when you are hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer. The springs partner with your existing rear suspension system to help keep your vehicle level, maintain even load distribution and increase stability. Hauling heavy loads or towing a heavy trailer can make the rear of your vehicle sag and the front end rise. This puts more strain on your rear axle and reduces contact between your front tires and the road, causing problems with braking, steering control and traction. By adding air springs to your rear suspension, you can help to level your vehicle and improve braking and handling. The air springs also help to level your headlight beams and reduce wear on your tires.
Adjustable Air Pressure
The air pressure in your Ride-Rite springs can be adjusted manually, side to side, to compensate for off-center loads. A centered load improves the stability of your vehicle by reducing body roll. The air springs will also help to absorb road shock and to soften contact between your axle and frame. This prevents bottoming out, thus improving ride comfort. Route the air line tubing for the springs to your vehicle's bumper to provide easy access to the manual inflation valves.
Air Spring Construction
Firestone's double-convoluted Ride-Rite air springs are designed to give you maximum load support and enhance the performance and ride comfort of your vehicle. The rubber springs provide cushioning between your suspension components and operate at up to 100 psi. The springs have four layers of reinforced rubber to ensure durability and enhance load support. A braided wire girdle creates the double-convoluted shape of each air spring, increasing the burst pressure of the spring. The rubber springs are attached to corrosion-resistant metal end plates with a time-proven, rolled crimp seal that keeps the bags securely anchored.
Air Spring Installation
Each Ride-Rite kit includes custom-fit brackets that connect to your axle and frame. The brackets provide the mounting points for the air springs. Drilling may be required for some applications.

Should have done it long ago- Installation was fairly straight forward- i recommend buying a step drill bit to put the holes in the frame- Harbor China has them in a 2 pack for around $15- well worth the money and takes alot of hassle out of drilling through a metal frame rail. I ordered the air lift basic on board compressor kit- still in the middle of installing it, i need two more tee's to hook the compressor to the air line- also there was not enough real estate in the cab to mount the gauge pod. I ended up mounting it on the center- lower dash panel. This took some work as the srs air bag pcm is right behind the panel. I had to trim the existing bracket and elongate the mounting holes to push the srs pcm back far enough so i could mount the gauge without interferance. Instead of running a fill valve to each bag (kit comes with two) I ran a single one back to the 7 pin connector mount then tee'd into both sides- this way i can fill them both equally at the same time with one valve. Even though i had the on board compressor i wanted a fill valve in case the compressor goes south.
I have a 2001 Tundra TRD 4WD. I bought a slide in camper and the rear end sagged quite a bit, even with helper springs. So I bought the Ride-rite kit. Install was pretty straight forward. I originally had the air fitting at the top of the bag pointed toward the tire, but ended up rotating them to point to the frame rail instead; that way there is no chance of rubbing on the tire. The kit also included a plastic bracket (and zip ties) to mount the shrader valves on your receiver hitch. No drilling required. On one photo, I show using the 1/2" bracket laid across the top bracket to get the required offset from the frame as per the "Handy Tip" in the instructions. This is definitely the way to go for handling the weight of the truck camper!
If you have common sense and know how to read directions this is pretty straight forward. Don’t overthink the placement of the upper bracket. Key is 1/2” below any part of lower frame. Took 1 and 1/2 hours to install. I used a pack of step bits from harbor freight to install frame tie downs and airbags without any problems. Made a difference in overall ride and support. Time will tell how well this product holds up.
Kit was easy to install fit without problems. Time required about 2hrs with truck on garage floor. Had some problems with fill valves and air chuck when filling but I resolved it quickly. Only needed about 15psi to raise truck but to level with my tool boxes filled.
I bought these 1 year ago for my 01 tundra. Easy to read instruction and easy to install. I'm really glad I bought these, truck rides excellent now. I drive the trunk at roughly 50lbs shy of max payload with me in it everyday with ease now.
It has been one year since I have installed the Firestone Ride-Rites on my 2006 Tundra. I load the truck and pull a boat and trailer that puts the Tundra within 600#'s of its CGVWR. The Ride-Rites keep the truck level and I my situation, greatly improved the steering and ride quality. This is one purchase that has met all of my needs for helping the truck do its job- even better.
Etrailer's service was excellent as usual. As for the Firestone Air Bags, I have no complaints. The instructions were spot on and the install went well. But make sure you have the tools necessary including a sharp drill to drill out the frame holes as needed. I use these airbags to help support the weight of a trailer. It's easy enough to adjust the air for the given load(s). If you have fluctuating weight needs, these are a great solution.
Great price, on time shipping.
Extremely helpful. My weight distribution hitch wouldn't quite level my truck, but the Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs do the job quite well. The install wasn't too bad. Took me a few hours.
Fast shipping. Product was exactly as described. Easy installation. I wish there was a install video for Toyota Tundra 2000 -2006 but got it done. I. Bought these to add extra support to the rear while towing my 28ft trailer a great addition to the Eaz Lift weight distribution bars
Very pleased with the product. An installation caveat: For the placement of the inflation valves (per the instruction example), be aware that the 2003 Tundra Ltd bumper has a plastic cowling that is part of the bumper but separated from the metal part by ~0.25". This plastic requires an ~1.25" opening to reach the valve (attached to the metal) with an air chuck. An alternative is to reassess the location of the inflation valves before drilling the 5/16" holes.
Great job and it came delivered on time thank you and happy new yeat
Great product. Just what I needed. I was referred by my neighbor, will use your company for future materials ! Great Job etrailer, Thanks.
Bolted up nicely. Installed in 3 hours. Makes towing trailer much smoother.
Qiuick professional service at a reasoable price!

The Ride-Rite Air bags were easy to install. I installed them to level out my truck when towing my 5th wheel. These were installed on a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500HD short bed 4x4.

How many stars (1-5, 5 being Excellent) would you give the product: 4 ½ on both items Product Review: Installed the Firestone Air Command Compressor system and Firestone Ride-Rite helper rear Air Bags on my 2020 F-250 Super Duty (Lariat Sport Edition). The install was pretty straight forward and took 5 hours for all components. Put my truck up on the rack and removed factory jounce bumper and installed the upper bracket of the air spring with no issues. Installed bottom bracket and bag again with no issues (Pic drivers side bag). Had to make a slight cut out to the bottom axle strap bracket on the passenger side to account for brake line (Pic passenger side axle bracket). Ran all airlines (had to remove spare tire for easy access) to the passengers side frame. Mounted the compressor and control unit to the passenger side frame (Pic Compressor mount) Covered all airlines with 1/2" wire loom to protect the lines. Checked all connections and no leaks. Downloaded Air Command App and tested the system. I have not had any issues pulling my 16,000 lb 5th wheel over the past year.(Pic Truck camper) Overall I am very impressed with the system I installed and the great customer service I received when ordering the product!

Not very happy with the purchase. Packaging was sub par, 28 lbs of steel and airbags dumped into a 12x12x12 box, no packaging material. Airbags had caps over the air inlet, but both caps came off in shipping. Aluminum inserts were MISSING the threaded holes for the alignment studs. Had to drill and tap the 4 inserts (see pictures), thankfully I had a 10-24 tap on hand. Instructions are not clear in terms of 3/8” washer usage, the list of parts at the top of each page shows the incorrect amount of washers vs what is shown in the instructions, as a result not enough washers for the install, one again I had some at home thankfully, finally, the 3/8” bolts are not long enough to go through the lower brackets and provide enough thread engagement for the nylock nuts. There is no bolt stick out after assembly. The air line is very flimsy and is easy to link. Overall the only thing I liked about the kit was the air fill line bracket and the lower clamps that wrap the axle. I would likely go with the airlift product if I could do it again. Hopefully it functions well. Will find out when I put 4000 lbs over the axle.

Installed easily, and used them to pull a heavy 24’ trailer across the country with a half ton pickup. The only thing I’d like to see is a manual leveling system with gauges and a compressor on board. I use a hand pump specifically for motorcycle air suspension to make the fine adjustments required to set the pressure. Works well. They did their job perfectly.

Product appears to be of very high quality and 1 week after installing, it appears to be working as expected. I was able to install the product myself, but only with the help of a neighbor. The ordering process was great, and thank goodness for the video that was linked to the etrailer site. I wish a few things were better: 1. The optional T connector that combines the two air valves should have been more prominently advertised, because I certainly would have gotten it. As is, it's a bit of a pain to try and inflate both sides separately. 2. Firestone should have labeled ALL the parts that were specific to right or left side of the vehicle. Even with the video, it was frustrating to try and decifer which parts went on which side, and the picture orientation in the installation manual was zero help. 3. There HAS to be a better way to attach the frame bolts. Those bendable tabs and long handles and trying to line them up with the upper bracket were ridiculously tedious and time-consuming, and very nearly resulted in me returning the product. Other than that, I am very happy with the product and the competitive price.

I mounted the Firestone airbag system on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma pickup. It was not as easy as the video makes it look (especially on the drivers side) but, it it turned out great. I mounted the compressor in the compartment behind the passenger seat behind the driver (see pic). I mounted the gauge and switch in the compartment between the driver and passenger (see pic). The airbag pictures are when they were holding 70 lbs pressure checking for air leaks. The first picture of the pickup is with 5 lbs air pressure in the bags and the second is with 50 lbs air pressure in the bags. When driving with 5 lbs in the bags it has the normal smooth ride and does a good job at 30 lbs of keeping the back end from sagging when I pull my boat.
