Is it Hard to Remove a Crossbar from Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack on 2017 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

please advise on the ease of removing the rear crossbar to allow passage into the bed, primarily to load a motorcycle or large appliance. this is an important feature need with my ladder rack. thanks!

The crossbars on the Thule Xsporter ladder rack # TH500XT-XK4 just bolt onto the uprights so taking one off can be done with simple hand tools or powered drive tools. You could also lift the crossbar and 2 uprights off but that would require 2 people to do it easily.

So as far as removing just the crossbar I would give it a 2 out of 10 difficulty.

Another option if your 2017 Toyota Tacoma does have the deck rail system is to loosen where the uprights attach to the bed, slide the whole rear assembly forward, get the load up into the bed, and (if the bars can go high enough) slide the assembly back and tighten. This would work if the load isn't too tall when leveled out in the bed.
