Is there a bracket to attach Thule square bars to a 2016 jeep grand Cherokee? Thanks

There is a Thule square bar roof rack system made for your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee if it has the E Group Package with flush mounted roof side rails that run front to back.

This system uses 60-inch Thule load bars # TH712500 along with Traverse feet # TH480R and the vehicle-specific fit kit # THKIT1656. If you have 60-inch or longer Thule square load bars you can order the other two components to install those bars on your Grand Cherokee.

If on the other hand your GC has a bare roof then there is no Thule rack solution but the Yakima racks for that type of roof configuration are shown on the linked page.

Will this attach to the existing flush mounted bars or will it just attach to the door frames?

The Thule Square Bar setup mentioned above utilizes mounting feet that will attach to a bare roof (and clamp to the door frames like you mentioned). To mount to those rails you'll use the Square Bar system that consists of parts # TH712400, # TH460R, and # THKIT3142.
