Question:
I recently purchased a new Honda Accord and have come to realize I will only be able to install a 1 1/4 hitch to it. My problem is that I have a 2inch Allen 4 Bike Rack. Is there an adapter that exists so I can avoid buying a new rack altogether? Thanks in advance!

The trailer hitches we offer for a 2017 Accord are Class l trailer hitches only carry two bikes.
I recommend a couple ways to approach the problem with carrying 4 bicycles. You can use a hitch adapter like part # HTAD and carry two bikes in the carrier. using any adapters in the hitch will reduce the capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. You can then get a roof rack and bike carriers for the roof of your Accord.
If you have no side rails or crossbars on the roof I recommend the Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack. For the roof rack you need parts # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK359.
For bike carrier that will work with the roof rack I recommend the Rhino-Rack MountainTrail Rooftop Bike Carrier, part # RBC035.
Another option is to use a trailer like the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer, part # Y08106. This trailer can accommodate up to 5 bicycles and it has a 250-lb weight capacity.
For bike carriers I recommend part # Y02098 for fork mount bike racks and part # Y02103 for wheel mount carriers.
For towing you will need a trailer wiring harness if you do not have one. I recommend part # C56173 if you have a hybrid, and # C56299 if you do not have the hybrid model.
If towing you will also need a ball mount and hitch ball. For a ball mount I recommend part # 3593. This ball mount has a 2-1/8 inch rise or a 2-3/4 inch drop. Since the trailer requires a 2-inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19258.
