Troubleshooting Tandem Axle Trailer Suspension That Has Inadequate Axle-to-Frame Clearance

Hi I have a camper trailer with what I believe are 3500 pound axels. The axels are mounted on top of the leaf springs I only have about 1inch of space between the frame and the axel. Im not sure this is even set up correct. The axels have been bottoming out to the point that the axels are dented. Do you offer leaf springs that would give some lift over something considered stock so hopefully I can get rid of this problem Im having? I realize Ive left out many details so basically Im wondering if your leaf springs come in various lifts for the the same application.

Leaf springs are primarily rated for weight capacity and overall dimensions, but not for lift.
There are many potential reasons for the issue you are having with the too-low 1-inch clearance between your trailer frame and the top of your axles. You could have badly worn springs; the trailer could have been overloaded to the point that the springs suffered damage; or a previous owner might have substituted suspension parts like hangers or shackle straps that are the wrong size. Or they may have installed springs not rated for the weight load on them or of an incorrect length. In any case you should have enough clearance between your axle and trailer frame to allow for the normal suspension travel of about 3-inches maximum.
It is also possible to install an over-under kit to move the axle to the bottom of the leaf spring stacks. We offer kit # K71-385-00 for 3-inch axles and kit # K71-384-00 for 2-3/8-inch axles. The linked video explains how the kits work. These kits are suitable only if all of your suspension components are correctly-rated and in good order.
I suggest you check your axles for their weight rating, usually found on a sticker or plate on the axle beam itself. You can also submit photos of the suspension to help us determine the likely cause for your issue.
