Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at the Brophy Adjustable Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two inch hitches with a five inch drop rated at 10,000 pounds capacity. Now folks, this is gonna be easy to adjust. You simply mount your pintle hitch on the front, and you would need to purchase that separately if you don't already have one, along with grade A bolts. But once you do that, you gotta mount it, you're gonna have five inches of adjustment.
And all I gotta do for that is just simply pull these safety pins here and here, and then pull these long bolts out here or pins that have the handle on them. And that's gonna allow you to then drop this or raise it, depending on where it's at, to a different height and to a different need. So let's say you got a construction trailer, heavy duty trailer, something of that nature, maybe landscaping, haul the bobcat. I don't know, something heavy. This could be potentially a good option for you.
Again, pintle hitches by nature usually mean more weight, heavy duty, that kind of thing. So this is a great option by Brophy. You got your steel gusset welded here at an angle. That's gonna give it all its strength and stability, along with the solid shank here. Now your standard five eighth inch pin holes here in the back.
There's no hitch pin included. You would need to purchase that separately if you don't already have one. Now back to the front of the pintle plate here, you're gonna have holes here. Vertically, they are one and three quarter inches, center to center. And then horizontally they are three and three eighth inches center to center.
Overall in length, I got 14 and three quarter inches long. On a height counting the top plate here down, I got 11 and five eighth inches. Center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the mine hole here with these pins, I got right at 10 inches exactly. From the gusset all the way back to the back of the shank, I got six and seven eighth inches. And then from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the gusset, I got three and seven eighth inches. It's a heavy duty steel construction. It has a nice, good quality corrosion resistant black powder coat on top. Very durable product made here in the US. This is the Brophy Adjustable Pintle Hook Mounting Plate for two inch hitches with a five inch drop. Folks, I'm Steven. Thanks for watching, and as always, stay safe while you're towing.
