Trailer Wiring Replacement Recommendation for a 2007 Ford Ranger
Published 08/08/2016 >
Question:
Hello, A few months ago the wiring on my 2007 ford ranger 4x4 corroded and I had to cut it off. It looked to be factory because it went into the wire harness on the driver side frame rail. I have since been trying to find replacement wiring to install. Ive tried to find a T-connector that would work for my year but no luck. My question is if you know of or have a t-connector that would work for my year or would I have to splice new wires into my harness? Thank you for you time and I hope to hear back soon.

Was the connector you found on your frame rail a round connector like what the part # C55515 would plug into? If so that would provide you with a 4-way. Or if you are looking of a 7-way you would want the part # 74682.
If for some reason you couldn't get a T-connector like the part # HM40655 to work the only other option would be a hardwire kit like part # 18252.
The part # HM40655 is a confirmed fit for your truck though and will work as it was designed specifically for your truck.
