How to Carry 3 Bikes on a 2015 Nissan Versa Note
Published 07/28/2016 >
Question:
I have a 2015 Nissan Versa Note SV and installed a Curt hitch #C11378 to attach a Kuat 3 bike hitch rack. The hitch is mostly mounted to the thin metal of the auto body with one frame attachment. It has started to tear the thin metal and is sagging not good!. My question is, there anything else that will accommodate the Kuat 3 bike hitch rack adequately? Thanks!

The Curt hitch part # C11378 that you have is the only hitch available to fit you Versa Note. It is a Class I hitch. On a class one hitch you can't ever carry more than 2 bikes at a time as it can cause damage, like you are experiencing. Your car is not built to be able to handle the extra leverage caused by adding that third bike. While the extra weight is a factor, the biggest factor is the fact that third bike is place farther away from the vehicle. That distance causes too much strain on the hitch and the car.
I caution you not to use your hitch at all until you get the damage under your vehicle repaired.
