Question:

I have a 2012 GMC Acadia with roof rack. Looking for a canoe and/or kayak roof carrier. Would the Y01149-1150 be compatible? Want something for easy loading and unloading.

The Yakima LongArm # Y01149-1150 will fit your 2012 GMC Acadia if it has a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. If it does not you can add one using # 75528.

There are a couple of other parts you may need. If your Acadia has the factory side rails that run front to back but no crossbars that run side to side you will need to add the crossbars. You can do this by using Inno bars # INB117 with feet # INFR. If you have the factory crossbars then you would not need to add any additional crossbars.

I also recommend crossbar pads # RRRWP05 to protect the kayak/canoe as well as bow and stern tie downs # Y04031.
