Troubleshooting Slow Landing Gear on a 2009 Keystone Montana

Question:
2009 Montana Landing Gear The motor is running slow and straining. Manual cranking is very difficult. Can the gearbox be causing the problem? Do I need to replace the motor also? Or is the problem in the legs and bevel gears?

Slow landing gear is usually the result of the following issues:
1. low battery voltage
2. bad ground for the jack motor
3. lack of lubrication on the jack screws and pinion gear
Your motor could be the culprit, but if it were me I would check the above mentioned items before replacing the motor.
To pick out a motor, I need to know the landing gear brand. The replacement motor # LG-142178 could work as it is confirmed to fit Venture, Atwood and Lippert landing gear.
