Replacement Double Eye Leafe Springs and Equalizer for a 2018 Forest River 379 FLOK

Updated 04/14/2026 | Published 04/08/2026

Question:

I have a 2018 Forest River 379 FLOK, currently the springs on it are 25 inches by 1 3/4 inches with 6 leafs. The dry weight is about12,500. Loaded weight about 13,500. We generally travel with empty tanks. Wanted to ask what the best spring and equalizer replacement would be. Thank you

Great question, Neil!

Thanks for sending those pictures and all the info, it helped a lot. It looks like your trailer is currently using the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers # LC145546. These used to come in yellow (which I can see peeking through), but Lippert has been switching them over to a black powder coated finish.

For your leaf springs, since yours are measuring right at 25", I’d recommend going with the EMCO 24-7/8" double eye spring # e64SR. Even when springs are unloaded, they tend to stretch slightly over time, so it’s normal to size just a bit shorter when replacing them. That will help keep everything sitting correctly once installed.

That combination should give you a solid, smooth setup and help keep things stable under your typical load.

What kind of terrain are you usually towing through; more long highway stretches or getting into the mountains a bit?
