Question:

I have a 2007 Fleetwood Avalon tent trailer with GVWR of 4600 lbs. Dual axle. Would Load Rated C trailer tires be fine?

The Bias Load Range C tires you were looking at from Kenda # AM1ST51 have a maximum load of 1,360lbs per tire. These will fit 13 inch wheels with rims that measure 13" x 4-1/2", 13" x 5", and 13" x 5-1/2".

Since your tent trailer has two axles, 4 of the Kenda Tires # AM1ST51 will provide 5,440lbs of capacity when inflated to the max 50 psi. This will be 840lbs over your GVWR of 4,600lbs and work great for your 2007 Fleetwood Avalon Tent Trailer.

Given the choice I recommend a radial tire over the bias tire because the radial tire will provide better stability and more ground contact resulting in a more comfortable ride.

A radial tire is also going to have better tread wear over the bias ply tire. The radial tires will also run cooler and give you better traction. A cause for many tire problems is heat build up, especially when under a load, and the radial tires will dissipate that heat better than a bias tire. Bias tires have stiffer sidewalls and are better suited for off road applications.

A radial tire that I recommend for your 13 inch rim is the Taskmaster # TTWTRTM1758013C. This Load Range C will have a capacity of 1,360lbs at 50 psi also and give you a total weight of 5,440lbs for your dual axle.

I have linked the both load range C tires to this page for your convenience.
