I have a Dutchman Aspen Trail 26ft 2 axle Travel Trailer, would like to replace all 4 tires. Right now I have AKURET HF188 Steel Radial ST205/74R14 load C on the camper.........I am wondering if I could/should go to Load Range D and what tire would you recommend that would be best for me my family. The best option we have for your trailer would be the Taskmaster part # TR20514 which is a ST205/75R14 like what you have in a Load Range C.
Going with a higher capacity tire when not needed really won't gain you anything, but this tire has a higher speed rating at 81 mph which is nice. Most trailer tires are only rated for 65 mph so a higher speed rating gives you more flexibility.
Also this a radial like what you have which is a superior tire construction than a bias ply.
