Question:

Im looking for the correct wiring harness for a 2014 Dodge Durango V6 Limited RWD. There is plug by the spare tire but Im not sure what I need to connect to it. I have a picture I can send but cant attach anything.

Since you found a connector near the spare tire on your 2014 Durango, there are a couple options for you. You will need to test the plug you found with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. Have someone sit in the driver seat and run through the functions while you use the tester to see what functions you have on the plug.

If you want a 4-way flat connector on your vehicle I recommend part # C55515. This will plug into the plug you found by the spare.

If you want to do some towing with your Durango and need brake controller wiring as well as a 7-way at the back of your vehicle I recommend part # TK22113. This plugs into the vehicle wiring behind the tail lights. This kit includes the brake controller adapter that plugs into the port under the dash and the other end plugs into the back of the brake controller.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
