Will a Reese Revolution/Sidewinder Allow a Ram Truck with Rambox to Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer

Hi, I have a 2015 Ram 2500 limited with a ram box short bed, and a 2014 Montana fifth wheel. Can I have a Reese Revolution sidewinder installed and thus clear 90 degree maneuvers? Thanks!

Yes, a Reese Revolution or a Sidewinder pin box replacement would allow you to tow your 2014 Montana fifth wheel with your 2015 Ram 2500 that has the Ramboxes and a short bed. The Revolution/Sidewinder puts the pivot point up higher so that the pin box would not hit the Ramboxes as you turn. Also this give you the ability to make tight turns without having to have a slider hitch so it basically is a win/win solution for your truck.
Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.
There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.
For a fifth wheel hitch the Reese M5 part # RP30928 would be an excellent option since it has a single hook jaw system that provides excellent king pin contact.
Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
For a rail kit then you would want a custom fit kit like the part # RP50054-58 which will minimize drilling and install time.
