I have another quick question, if I was to wire it to the truck, do I need anything additional? I purchased the bulldog 15017 winch for 3400 lbs. thanks again

To wire up the Bulldog Winch 1.5 hp Trailer Winch part # BDW15017 to your tow vehicle you would want the part # BDW20026.
This will give you 24 feet of 3 gauge wire that you will run up to the vehicle battery and also includes quick disconnects for the rear of your vehicle that will allow the connection of the winch's wiring to the vehicle easy.
