A great option for an economical electric winch for your car hauler to pull your 2,400 lb Ford in case of emergency is the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch # BDW15017 because its compact design won't take up much room, it has a load-holding brake, free-spooling clutch and attached remote control for ease of use. It is also going to be highly durable due to its powder-coated steel body, steel mounting plate and zinc-plated wire rope.

The Bulldog Winch # BDW15017 has a 1.5-horsepower, 12-volt DC motor and has a line pull rating of 3,400 lbs.

I have added links to video reviews of this winch for you to check out as well.
