Question:
Have installed the controller using the Cadillac provided harness - no power to controller - I ASSUME THERE IS A FUSE THAT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED SOMEPLACE - CAN U TELL ME WHERE AND WHAT SIZE FUSE TO USE?

Expert Reply:
The fuse that activates the brake controller is located in the fuse block located under the hood. The fuse is a 30 amp, that would install in location # 36.
When you installed the controller using the GM pigtail, you'll want to review how you've attached the wires. The red pigtail wire with the green stripe connects to the black controller wire to provide 12-volt power, the white/blue striped pigtail wire connects to the red controller wire to provide an input telling the controller when the vehicle brakes are being applied, the dark blue pigtail wire attaches to the blue controller wire which carries the voltage back to the trailer connector and the black pigtail wire connects to the white controller wire to provided a ground connection. Any remaining wires on the pigtail aren't used, and should be taped up out of the way.
