Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2016 Honda Pilot

Question:
Hi, Your site says this wiring plugs into the vehicles OEM Tow Package. Does that mean it plugs into the vehicles standard equipment or would I have had to get a special tow package when I bought my new Honda Pilot? Thanks!

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118286 is intended for use on a 2016 Honda Pilot as a direct OEM replacement 7-way for the one that came from the factory for the tow-package-equipped version. The harness plugs in at a white connector located behind a rear cargo area access door on the driver's side. Please refer to the linked photo of the connector and to the linked instructions for installation procedures.
If your Pilot does not have the factory tow package with 7-way then instead you'll use 4-pole wiring harness # 118760 that plugs in at the same spot. In order to convert this to a 7-way you'll need our kit # ETBC7 which includes the 7-way socket, wiring and connectors needed to convert the 4-pole to a 7-way. I have linked a video and article to help you with the installation of the ETBC7.
