Question:
03 Chevy Silverado 2500 7 way. Have break controller 5504. With ur wiring diagram u have showing, got those 4 wires pulse have 3extra wires a light blue, black, and Brown and all three of them are skinny. Were does those wires get hook up at?

To install a brake controller like the # 5504 that you referenced you only need to connect it to 4 wires. If you find more wires on your vehicle than would be needed to install the controller you wouldn't need to do anything with them. I attached a chart that shows how a brake controller gets wired to a vehicle.
If your 2003 Chevy Silverado has a factory 7-way like what you mentioned you would only need the install harness part # 3015-P to install the controller. I attached a video that shows how this harness is used to install a controller.
