Question:

Hello, I have a set of old Yakima button down six ski rack, still in good condition. Im looking for a Mighty mount that will fit this ski rack. My vehicle is a 2014 Subaru Outback using the factory cross bars. I noticed there are only two mighty mount currently for sale. The horizontal and the universal mighty mounts. Yakima used to sell an array of vertical mighty mounts to fit different cross bars, but I guess they got away from this because of costs. So, will the universal mighty mount fit my old Yakima button down ski rack? Thanks,

I called my contact at Yakima about your Buttondown 6 ski rack.

They told me the Universal MightyMount, part # Y03590 are a fit for your ski rack and would work just fine for attaching to the factory roof rack on your 2014 Outback.

If you want added security to help deter theft I recommend the Yakima Same Key System, part # Y07204.
