I recommend a custom-fit base rail kit for your 2012 Silverado 2500HD to reduce your installation time. A good option is Curt # C16411-204 which includes all mounting hardware.

For a set of hitch pins you can use # 6014. If you care to lock the hitch you can substitute Tow Ready Base Rail Lock # TR63254 for one of those pins.
