Looking for air bag kit fitment for 2026 F450 Platinum. It has electronic scales. How do the bags affect the scales? Im speculating that they nil them since the truck wont squat. Is that true? Please let me know the recommended air bag kit.

Hey William,

We do have a great option for an airbag kit for your 2026 Ford F450. I recommend the Airlift # AL88399 airbags, these offer a 5,000lb load leveling capacity with no drill installation. Depending on what you are towing these also are compatible with an in bed hitch.

In terms of your electronic scales, the reading will most likely be effected with these airbags added. Since those scales measure payload, adding this suspension enhancement will effect the suspension response, or spring rate than you normal stock suspension. It will still work and read the payload but it's accuracy will be effected. I would assume that would be the same issue with any suspension enhancement added after market.

Nick, I have a 5th wheel RV with 3800 lb tongue weight. I've always had a bagged truck pulling it but I thought I could get away from it with a F450. Nope. Didn't like the stance with weight on truck. Can you recommend a wireless kit you'd match with these air bags? Do they make a kit anymore that isn't tied to a cell phone? There are a lot of places we go without cell reception. I like the visor controllers. Appreciate the assistance and look forward to your response. Bill

@WilliamS They do make kits without the need of cellphones, and they make some with both a remote and app control. I recommend the Air Lift WirelessAIR # AL74000. This comes with a remote for easy control of the airbags as well as this ability to use a phone app if you would like. This kit is a dual path as well which allows you to air up each bag individually for any uneven loads. It really allows for precise leveling for your setup.
