Can 15 Amp Plug Be Used Without 30 Amp On Camco Power Grip RV Power Maximizer
Updated 07/22/2015 | Published 07/18/2015 >
Question:
Since my batteries are getting old, I was advised to plug my 50 amp motorhome into an available 110 receptacle while in storage. This part you offer appears to fit the bill. Is it ok to use just the 110 part of the plug? I plan to use both ends at RV parks that only offer 30amp.

The Camco Power Grip RV Power Maximizer, part # CAM55025 can be used with the 110 plug only or with the 30 Amp plug only, or with both when you have the receptacles available. Using just the plug in a 110 receptacle will limit the input to 15 amps so you may have issues if you are trying to use any items that require more power.
If all you need is the 30 amp connection for your motorhome I recommend part # CAM55175. This cord adapter lets you convert your motorhome plug to work with electrical hookups at an RV park.
