Can I Purchase the Curt Class I HItch 11110 Without the Ballmount and Pin and Clip

Question:
Can I purchase the Curt Trailer Hitch alone. I have all the accessories already. Can I hook up a load carrier to this hitch

Expert Reply:
The ballmount, pin and clip are packaged with the hitch and the installation hardware and we cannot separate them. Curt includes them, because on Class I and II hitches, only certain ball mounts should be used.
If you do not want a hitch with the draw bar and pin and clip, I would suggest Draw-Tite part # 24839.
Yes, you can use a load carrier or a cargo carrier on either of these hitches, so long as the cargo carrier is designed for use with 1-1/4 inch Class I hitches. The tongue weight capacity of this hitch is 200 pounds meaning that the combined weight of the carrier and anything on it, must be 200 pounds or less. Check the vehicle owner manual, and see what the tongue weight capacity of your Kia Soul is. If it is less than 200 pounds, you must abide by that number instead.
I have added a link to the instructions for both of these hitches for you to reference.
