Question:
I am looking to install the curt adjustable trailer hitch on the back of my Viewfinder 30 ft travel trailer and using my Yakima swingdaddy four bike carrier with it. It has an internal wedge that stabalizes it to the receiver. Will I still be required to use stabilizing straps and if so where is the recommended attachment point for said straps.

Expert Reply:
There are only certain bike racks that are rated for use behind an RV or trailer but the Yakima SwingDaddy is not one of them. I have included a link to the carriers that are rated for this application.
Regarding that wedge despite having that feature on certain Curt trailer hitches including # 13703 you would still have to use the strap # 18050 as it is a requirement for the hitch so matter what bike carrier is used. There isn't a specific place on the back of the vehicle it has to go just so long as it is attached.
