Recommended Electric Brake Assembly for a 2010 Cruise RV Fun Finder 210WBS

Published 05/20/2015

Question:

5 x 4 1/2 hub. Thoughts on needing to replace those? I did have one brake fail: the spring assembly snapped and the adjustment hardware rattled around in the hub for 5000 miles or so! I'm thinking that hub should be replaced but I don't know about the rest. Could probably get by with just replacing the bad brake and hub and leave the rest alone but I am thinking it will be better to have balanced brakes all the way around. Thoughts?

Your 2010 Cruise RV Fun Finder 210WBS comes with factory Lippert 10-inch electric brakes. I recommend replacing them with the etrailer.com Self Adjusting 10-inch electric brake assembly # AKEBRK-35L-SA (left hand) and # AKEBRK-35R-SA (right hand). The axle rating is 3,500 pounds and these brake assemblies automatically adjust to provide superior braking performance.

I included a video review and installation video for you too.

If it were me, I would get a new hub and drum assemblies because your spring snapped and rattled around your current hub and they could be marred or scratched up. And replacing all hub and drums will allow for even wear and tear instead of replacing one at a time. Based on your 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern and 3,500 Lippert axles, I recommend the # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K and it will have an E-Z Lube grease cap with plug and grease seal. The inner bearing is # L68149, outer bearing is # L44649 and grease seal is # RG06-050 double lip. Take a look at the video reviews, installation video and informative article about adding electric drum brakes to a trailer.
