Why does it show that Draw Tite #36554 will work on a 2015 Buick Encore. But then I read your expert Michael H. says it will not work on the 2015 and I must buy a curt #C11358?

At the time the answer you are referring to was written, Curt trailer hitch # 36554 was not a confirmed fit for the 2015 Buick Encore and now it has been discontinued.
At this time, the only hitch that we have for your 2015 Buick Encore is the Curt Class I hitch # C11527. The # C11527 replaced the C11358 that your mentioned.
If you plan on towing with the hitch the correct ball mount is # 36071. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring you can use # 118588 to add a 4-Way flat connector.
