I also am having a hard time locating my plug for my 2014 Toyota Tacoma. It is not readily available and l cant seem to find out how to remove my kick plates? l dont want to force anything so l would like to see it in progress if possible. You guys sent me an email response about the same subject but l cant seem to find it.

Usually, the location of your 2014 Toyota Tacoma built-in 5-pin connector is underneath your dash, to the left of the steering column and taped to another harness near your emergency brake pedal. It could be up above or behind the kick panel or you don't have a factory 7-way trailer connector. I don't think you will need to remove the kick panel. But if you do remove it, it should just pop right off as it is secured by tabs. Unfortunately, I don't have a video to show.
If your vehicle doesn't have a factory OEM 7-way, the plug under the dash will not be present. If that is the case, you will need to install the brake control using installation kit # ETBC7. The kit will include everything you need to install an electric brake controller and 7-way connector. If you don't have a 4-way connector, I would go with the Tow Ready T-One wiring harness with 4-pole flat # 118496.
